Cooking on a narrowboat is probably similar to being in a caravan or campervan. In a small confined space it is great to have everything to hand but really one wants recipes with little fuss and minimal washing up. As I have a small freezer aboard, alot of my cooking involves using frozen veg. I am especially fond of frozen chopped onions! I also have a lot of dried foods which mean I can make something out of nothing if we end up with no supermarket nearby. The boat has a gas cooker with oven but I try to do alot of my cooking on the hob to save energy.
Any recipe found here is a bit haphazard but I hope they will give some inspiration. Some are recipes that I am being given from friends and current magazines but am also adapting for simplicity and speed.
