Imagine my delight at finding frozen cherries and sliced bramley apples in Waitrose. Buying a bag of each I returned to the boat and put entire contents into a saucepan, which I placed on hot stove. Slowly the fruit reached a simmer and once totally warmed through with the apple slightly softened, it was delicious served with Greek yoghurt. But you could turn it into a crumble or have for breakfast with granola and yoghurt. Endless possibilities and it required, to my taste, no extra sugar.
